Brilliant post as usual. I appreciate your optimism. I do worry about the trashing of our constitution and the leftist tilt of this administration. If the Democrats in Congress and Obama have their way, your visions of recovery will not materialize. In order to enjoy a robust economy, lots of people have to participate. This can only happen when capital is comfortable that it is secure. Today (and in my view) capital is scared to death. No revenues means no capital expenditure and no new hiring. Everyone is waiting to see where the Left is taking us before making investment decisions (at least on Main Street). International business may be recovering but small business is flat right now. And... small business owners spend money, stimulate the economy and hire people. Until Washington stops scaring the snot out of the bourgeois, the economy is likely to stay flat.

Capital isn't a coward, and no it does not require coddling to survive and prosper. It is not a creature of politicians, who are mostly self important fools and mostly don't matter a hill of beans.
