It is a mindset of congress as well as specific laws. Congressional members routinely get away with criminal activities that most of us would not. Congress rarely does anything about crimes committed by its members.

Along the lines of their attitude in regards to the application of laws to them and to us. Some of these specifically may have changed recently, but my point remains. When possible, congress considers itself above you and me. Rulers and ruled:

Their current, ongoing attempt to exempt themselves from the horrific [so called] health care legislation is a fine example. That all by itself is beyond the pale even if there were never any other examples.
