What got the various "Civil Rights" laws passed, what stopped segregation, what got slavery ended in the first place, was that the majority of white folks thought it was the right thing to do.
I sense this deep pool of good will has been evaporating over the years. Woe to those who finally discover what life will be like when it has completely dissipated.
Ahhhh, I understand now...
The homeowner, Barbara Frische, who is white, said she has lived in the home for 10 years.
Do they not even see the disconnect? They usually do a better job of trying to convince us they aren't twisting rules.
Look, if this had happened to a black family in Hyde Park with the message "Keep Hyde Park white", the Rev Je$$e J@ckSon and @l $h@rpton would be on an airplane to Austin. Barbara is lucky it was only a brick, not a bullet or Molotov cocktail.
I agree. My mother was a civil rights worker in the south during the worse of the civil rights era. She was a Goldwater republican and worked very hard on the front lines to secure the rights of blacks. It was mostly the republican party in those days working for civil rights in the south. The democrat party was made up of Klansmen and bigots. I have never understood how the media gets away with painting conservatives as racists in light of the facts....but they do.
Or somebody who never learned to write very well, which likely describes most of the neighborhood.
You think a first-grader could throw a brick that heavy through a window? I kind of doubt it.
Some do-gooder friends of mine thought they’d move into Detroit and help improve the city.
Their house has been on the market for a year. They keep getting broken into. People who visit have their wheels stolen. They learned their lesson the hard way and now want to get out, but can’t.
Liberalism can bring its own punishments.
No bias in that statement. Just because the brick mentioned keeping the area black and was thrown through a white person's house doesn't mean it was racist, no siree. The police are right on top of that aren't they? Does anyone believe they would have made it a hate crime if the roles were reversed?
Do away with hate crimes, they are unconstitutional, they are thought crimes and have no place in a free society. It is a crime to throw a brick through the window of a house and try to run people out of a neighbor hood. The hate part should be understood, all crimes are crimes of hate in one form or another.
