The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows Senator Barbara Boxer leading her relatively unknown opponent, former Hewlett-Packer Hewlett-Packard (you'd think I'd have looked at my printer 20 inches away . . .) CEO Carly Fiorina, by only four points, 45%-41%. Boxer has never been terribly popular in the Golden State, but given the conditions Democrats have enjoyed the past few years, it is surprising to see her in Elizabeth Dole 2007 territory (though in a much more Democratic state).
Poll after poll shows incumbents once thought to be safe in pretty dangerous territory. These are the dangers of being in charge in the present economy, I guess.

“The woman is a complete ass”
Can we annul California’s admission to the Union?
Mexico can have it, its blood-sucking socialists, and its debt back.
You are on. One Freeper already owes me $100 because she believed that McCain would win in a landslide. I like my steak medium. Boxer has one of the safest seats in the country. Wait until 2010 when the CA Dem machine and all of its money goes into high gear.
Good riddance b^tch!
Should be Senator b>tch. Remember, she “worked hard” to earn that title.
This is where I diverge from die-hard conservatives. I would rather see a RINO in the Senate than Barbara Boxer. I’ll worry about the RINO when Boxer is no longer an issue...
hh
I’m taking steak dinner bets.
Can I place your name on the list? BIG SMILE
Isn’t Fiorina the CEO who drove HP into the ground, which then had to subsequently be rescued emergency-style by the next CEO?
no thank you.
Fiorina or Boxer?
I couldn't disagree more.
Californians have found out first hand about RINO’s .
RINOld has “poisoned” the GOP well so badly here with his liberalism & incompetence;
it may be a decade before the GOP can get a dogcatcher elected to statewide office!
Barely got by Bruce Herschensohn in ‘92 when Mcauliffe engineered last minute slime that Herschensohn had gone to a strip club. I’ll never forget the media censorship of her victory speech, when after claiming the win, she immediately launched into a tirade against “the forces of hate and intolerance” that had been defeated. In those pre-Fox days, I watched CNN for coverage, after the live appearance, even that they may have squelched when she commenced foaming at the mouth, they quickly snipped replays to delete her slander against what was probably 49% of the CA electorate. Voter suppression was always the Clinton game, and this has been a prime example early on to me.
Mexico can have it, its blood-sucking socialists, and its debt back.”
I don't know where you live, genius, but there are more Conservatives in CA than any other state in the Union.
And being the 8th largest economy in the WORLD,
America & Americans depend on CA for tax revenue, agriculture, industry, rail, trucking, technology, military, commerce, import & export and FREE REPUBLIC...just to name a few!
shezzzzzzzzzzzzz...Newbies...
DONE!
I just love eating FREE steaks! BIG SMILE
Barbara Boxer is the epitome of an elitist, out-of-touch, moronic Congressperson.
Except that CA may also have more libs than any other state in the Union - and I'd think Texas has more Conservatives these days. CA suffers from the Libs having far too many power positions in both their State and Federal positions. Having a total RINO as Gov doesn't help. Still, he's better than Gray Davis. And you have to like that they named a major airport after John Wayne.
“I’d think Texas has more Conservatives these days.”
Think again.
“Still, he’s better than Gray Davis”
Wrong again.
Excuse me but where do you live?
Hollywood and the Silicon Valley will throw millions to her like they always do. That’s how she got in the first time.
YES!! Made my week-end!!!!!
