The Police and the President
The Wall Street Journal ^ | July 23, 2009 | The Editors

President Obama told the NAACP last week that he believes there is less racial discrimination in America today than ever in our history. So it was passing strange this week to hear Mr. Obama draw a negative national racial lesson from a recent police incident involving black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Last week, Mr. Gates found himself locked out of his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Instead of calling a locksmith, he and his chauffeur proceeded to break into the house. When a neighbor noticed the two men forcing their way through the front door, she called the police. According to the police report, when the officers arrived Mr. Gates became belligerent, “exhibiting loud and tumultuous behavior,” and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Mr. Gates says he showed the officer his ID and told them it was his house but that the officers didn’t believe him. The professor was released after a few hours in custody, and the charges have been dropped, though Mr. Gates has since gone on to claim that “this isn’t about me; this is about the vulnerability of black men in America.”

Enter Mr. Obama, who was asked what he thought about the incident at his press conference Wednesday night. Mr. Obama said Mr. Gates is a personal friend, and then scored the local police for “acting stupidly for arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home.” The President also went on to see in the incident echoes of “a long history in this country of African Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately.”

Obama stepped in it big time...and it trying to spin his way out of it and back peddle. Problem is, the bravo sierra is all over his feet now and he's tracking it everywhere he goes.

IMHO, one of the most revealing thing about the issue with Gates is that he is so clearly another person and instance of a pattern that fits Obama's other "close friends".

Racist, hate filled, angry, people who detest traditional America and the free market and whose seething hatred is only just below the surface...and in some cases always out in the open. Frank Davis, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright, Henry Louis Gates, even his own wife, Michelle (by her own admission)...and the list goes on and on.

There is a clear pattern here that the MSM not only knows, but refuses to report. And that is because most of them share this hatred.

Obama and all those pushing his radical agenda are abject marxist ideologues. Their "fundamental; change" is nothing more than a destruction of the American free market and fundamental republican principle.

The sooner he sinks his own boat, the better. I was appalled to hear him comment on a "local case," especially after he announced he didn't know all the facts.

He just announced to the world that he's a clueless idiot. OTOH, that might be a good thing in the long run. Maybe we can keep him from walking in Jimmah's footsteps.

Hehehe...time for a little humor.

Did you hear about new Presidential postage stamp of Obama? It seems there are a lot of complaints about it not sticking to an envelope because people keep spitting on the wrong side.

Perfect summation

Last week, Mr. Gates found himself locked out of his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Instead of calling a locksmith, he and his chauffeur proceeded to break into the house.

Techically, the zillions of dollars that Harvard received from the fed are not part of the "stimulus" package, so this kind of perq must be okay, even though we're paying for it.
