Bullets will be a HUGE bargaining commodity. Stock up while you can.
Real question:
If the time comes when ammo becomes a form of currency, does it make more sense to stock up on ammo now than on nonperishable foods?
I mean we hear all these ads saying buy gold now, and yet how does one use a gold coin worth $900 or so to pay for groceries?
I do keep a small stash of silver U.S. cartwheels, but at $20 apiece true value, they seem much more fungible.

Trying to meet the supply here in Texas by getting rid of mine. Send a private message if you're in the Austin or Houston area. Need to be able to truthfully say, "I sold them all." Don't want any part of the coming socio-political chaos.
Actually, cartridges would work better.
Since I can't find cartridges in any caliber I shoot, I have been looking for powder, primers, casings and bullets.
For the most part, those are hard to come by also.
