Mormons: The Most Conservative Religious Group In America

That's according to a new report from Pew, released today and based on data from the group's 2007 U.S. Religious Landscape Survey.

More Mormons (60 percent) identify themselves as conservatives than any other religious group; they also lead every other group in GOP party identification (at 65 percent)--much higher than the general population in both categories

If Mr. Robinson has a problem with what I’ve said, it’s up to him to discuss it with me, not you.

You made the claim on the open forum. So you are telling me that you are unwilling to back it up when asked for proof of such?

Pathetic and slimy.

So what did Jim say on this thread to form that opinion?

Your post #82 was an opinion.

Your post #82 was an opinion.

And I can tell you exactly how it was formed - by you refusing to back up your attack on Jim with specifics.

Now, what are the specific things Jim said that led you to attack him so in post 63?

I bet Jim wished everybody would simmer down and focus on what they might do to spread the word of Palin Across America!

Sorry, but I don’t cotton to attacks on a good man such as Jim when the poster won’t substantiate such.

What kind of coward attacks someone and then won’t back it up?

Mr. Robinson, I don’t know what your religious affiliations are, and I really don’t care. But never, in my life, have I heard such foul words about a religion (”Mormonism”) from a person in public life, who has the opportunity to be an excellent role model.

Can you back up that comment? Please provide quotes. I've never seen Jim say any "foul words" about the Mormon religion.

That is not good enough. If you're going to make accusations about religious bias posted by the owner of this site you'd better back them up, and if you expect Jim Robinson to defend himself against your unsubstantiated accusations, don't hold your breath. He doesn't have time for this crap.

Your assertion: "I’m surprised that you have fueled the flames of anti-Mormonism, Jim."

Could you have mischaracterized a man's comment any further into lalaland? What a sleazy, cowardly thing to do on your part! And what a shameful representation of Mormons you are portraying when the comment stated 'just like any other group of people'. You certainly will not frame 'moving toward perfection' upon Mormons if you continue to make such mischaracterizations of a thoroughly un-accusative comment. You ought to apologize, but I won't hold my breath.

I guess I can't give the Mormons too much credit for originality. I think that they copied that from the 1971 Southern Baptist Convention's resolution that is even looser and allowed abortion:

"under such conditions as rape, incest, clear evidence of fetal deformity, and carefully ascertained evidence of the likelihood of damage to the emotional, mental, and physical health of the mother."

That's the resolution that gave the green light to Roe vs. Wade and indicated that, aside from Catholics, there would be a general acceptance of abortion.

The "emotional and mental" exemptions are the gaps that they drove 50 million deaths through.

"I feel like I just stepped into a big pile of dinosaur dung."

That's because you did. I've never said a word about "Mormonism" on this thread or any other. I can't stand the lying two-faced, two-bit political whore Mitt Romney because he's an abortionist, gun-grabbing, big government socialist and that's the truth. Now it's just too damn bad if you think that means I've said something bad about Mormonism, because I didn't. Thank God Mitt Romney is not the face of Mormonism.
