CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A multiracial group of police officers stood with the white officer who arrested a black Harvard scholar and asked President Barack Obama and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick apologize for comments union leaders called insulting.
Officers say they resent any implication that race played a role in Sgt. James Crowley's arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home near Harvard University last week.
At a news conference Friday, union leaders said Crowley acted appropriately when he arrested the scholar for disorderly conduct. ..
Obama said the officers "acted stupidly." Patrick, the state's first black governor, said the arrest was "every black man's nightmare."

The minor revulsion I developed for Gates while watching his racist hoo-ha on PBS has become slightly more pronounced with his overt and intentional race baiting of a police officer.

I watched CNN too (just to see their reaction). The guy was going to cry or something. He knows this is bad for Nobama.
This same guy had no problem earlier in the week slamming Crowley when he didn’t know the facts. He was all gung ho to indict the police. Now he knows its backfired and oh, no, hells bells. Put out the fire NOW.

LOL. Obama seems to be a real expert at apologizing to the world for the rest of us Americans. I seriously doubt Obama will ever apologize for his own actions/speech. He has stepped in this one, bigtime.
Obama will side track it by saying it’s distracting from health care.
Unless the police do something more ... like filing a defamation suit.

Yay for the Boston police officers. Their job hard enough. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were them, but the White House did 'clarify' the next day remarks made by Obama.

Baraq Al-Husseini and the Governor have both made those cops’ job more difficult with their verbal incontinence, but, insulated as they are in their secure positions, they won’t make the connection.

Gates is a black liberation theologian and I would not be surprised if he does not sit in Wright's church
