Obamacare will result in the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade. How? As it stands now, Roe gives individual states leeway in writing and enacting their own restrictions on abortion and the Supreme Court has upheld those state restrictions. These include 24-hour wait periods, parental consent for minors seeking abortions, prohibiting abortion after a certain week of pregnancy, etc. If abortion coverage is included in federally mandated health care, those state laws and restrictions will be rendered null and void. Abortion becomes an “essential health service” that cannot be restricted.
In a bitter and deadly irony, all choice will be taken away.
This taxpayer funding of abortion essentially props up the abortion industry, specifically Planned Parenthood. PP will be one of the largest recipients of federal dollars, in the name of “reproductive health care.” The reality is that PP performs over 300,000 abortions each year and they already receive over $350 million in federal funding. They want more. PP is under investigation in several states for fraud and for failing to report the sexual abuse of very young girls. Planned Parenthood is more interested in protecting abusers than protecting vulnerable young girls, because they don’t want anything – even the law – to get in the way of aborting babies.
American tax dollars will be spent to bail out an industry that exists to kill babies and exploit women. Period.

I don't want to be a contrarian but I have searched and searched all 1,017 pages of HR 3200 (Obamacare) and cannot find one reference to abortion.
From the first time one of these articles came out I've searched and its just not there. So I wish they would reference just one section in this Bill that says abortions are covered. I can't find it.

We must get Pro-Life persons into office and get this on the ballots and let the people vote on it and make the law...make the constitutional (state and federal) amendments which includes the unborn as a person, just like we did for black persons.
It is quite peculiar how conveniently and easily we Christians and moral persons have been dumbed down by the atheistic socialist public school system and leftist groups seeking a dispicable agenda of atheistic socialism and a destruction of capitalism, family values, religion, freedom of religious expression and tradition. C’mon...are we truly so ignorant and unthinking that we as one of the most “developed” countries in the world does not remember how to get humans legally acknowleded as persons in our judicial system? No, we are simply complacent and apathetical and in many cases accomplices.
Just like the sexually deviant are overturning traditional marriage, the Pro-Life need to overturn this legal child murder. This can be accomplished beginning with one state constitution and then another, legislate, legislate and legislate!
I just don’t understand how people don’t see this clearly. What was the reasoning for denying rights to blacks? The answer is personhood...they were some fraction (three fifths, I recall) of a person and not considered a whole person...so, we could treat them as sub-human objects.
We all must admit the truth of the dignity of the human person and the value of all human life. Amen!
This is not a “straw dog” ...it is really about babies, the elderly, the disabled and human dignity. Frankly, it will bring down the entire house of cards because it strikes at the heart of what is wrong in the entire piece of legislation and the philosophy behind it.
