Make room for jihadi! Tim Sumner reports at 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America that the Obama administration is shuffling prisoners and clearing out beds for Gitmo detainees.

You forgot Angola
Can they be set up so their backs are to Mecca. I'd figure that's probably worse given the position most people use on them.
Angola is not a federal prison.
Angola and Atlanta Federal Prison would be great homes.
“Toilets to be moved (they cannot face Mecca)...” Why can’t a shit hole face another shit hole?
You are right!
I really want to be their chef for two weeks. I would introduce them to food they have been missing.
Well, I think it would be GREAT to have them in Florence. Put them all there and they will beg to go back.
I said they should build a wing at Florence specifically to hold these guys. It will be much better than leaving them in Gitmo with no hope of execution from this administration.
Florence is a human tomb. Once in, they will never leave.

Since they mentioned Eric Rudolph, I assume they are talking about Florence.
Beautiful area too, btw, if you decide to visit. Too bad these guys will never see it again after they go in ;-]
ADMAX has never had an escape. They don’t allow tours either except for once. These guys never leave the prison and do not interact with each other. The courthouse and medical facilities are inside so they don’t even go out for that.
The best bonus: the prison is underground. And no, you can’t dig out. I remember reading a long time ago that 2 guns are trained on anyone who does come out of their cell and lethal force is authorized. Someone from ADX can correct me if wrong or out of date.
Whether our Dear Leader changes the rules, I am unsure but I doubt it. He just wants to bury 1 campaign promise to say he didn’t break every one of them.
By reverting back to the Clinton-era policy of treating terrorists as common criminals, we must adhere to things like reading them their Miranda rights and rules of evidence. Hard to do on the battlefield.
This is not a matter of putting people in secure prisons, but rather, of changing their current status. It is very dangerous.
I do not think that their status is going to change at all. They are going to throw these people into the “shoe” and forget about them
Once they set foot on US soil the rules change. Under the Constitution, they must be treated differently than they are now. Prosecuting all detainees in federal courts raises many problems. Evidence gathered through military interrogation or from intelligence sources might be thrown out. Defendants would have the right to confront witnesses; that means undercover CIA officers or terrorist turncoats might have to take the stand, jeopardize their covers and reveal classified intelligence tactics.
What a frakin legal mess.
