'Missing' Man Sought by Gay Pal Is Willingly Undergoing Counseling, Family Says (
Fox News ^ | Thursday, July 23, 2009 | Joshua Rhett Miller

EXCLUSIVE: A 23-year-old pre-med student who "got caught up with friends who were pulling him" toward homosexuality is well and undergoing Christian counseling, his family says.

But a gay activist who created a Web site to locate the "missing" man says Bryce Faulkner's silence speaks volumes, claiming that the young man's religious parents are controlling his every move in an effort to "cure" him of his homosexuality.

Debra Faulkner, of El Dorado, Ark., denied the Web site's reports that her son was forced against his will to undergo reparative therapy for homosexuality at Exodus International, a nonprofit Christian organization that seeks "freedom from homosexuality" through Jesus Christ.

"He's fine," Debra Faulkner told FOXNews.com. "All the stories you've been told are not true."

She said Brett Harris, who created the "Help Save Bryce" Web site, had posted her phone number and home address, resulting in dozens of harassing calls and threatening letters to her home.

You really think it’s a choice? I certainly don’t choose to be attracted to women.

Yes. He is. He had quit the lifestyle but went back to it because they “understand” him. What they understand is how to be a victim. We had a tough childhood. He still hasn’t dealt with it.

What they understand is how to camp it up, and make believe it's a fun state of being. It always “amazed” me how they can turn that stuff off and on.

When I had enough of it, I let them know - sometimes verbally, sometimes not - that if they wanted me around, they should try acting like *persons* rather than stereotypical queens. If they persisted, I walked away. Sometimes, it worked. I let them know that I had boundaries, even though they didn't.

Your brother has no spine, and that's part of the problem.

I don’t see any of you guys who are criticizing his parents for *interfering* criticizing the homosexual who tried to influence him towards homosexuality.

What are you talking about!?

I didn't criticize his parents. I was criticizing the juvenile mindset of his gay friend, who apparently believes that a 23-year-old man should have his parents pay for his car without conditions.

Not being able to let go of being a victim is his biggest problem. He hasn't dealt with the pain. "Closure"is the biggest lie going. When parents aren't sorry and they're dead, there isn't going to be "closure". What there should be is a realization that it's over.

Pedophilia is a whole different issue. Someone hitting himself in the head with a hammer, well, I would classify him as an idiot. And I would be wondering if he was schizophrenic or psychotic, or had some type of mental illness.

I didn't say anything about children. I did mention chickens, though. My point with the hammer guy is that his actions are proof enough of his mental problem. The only reason that people no longer see the homosexual behavior as a self-evident mental disorder is because the homosexual leftist lobby has done a wonderful job of brainwashing everyone into thinking it is in the realm of normal. If they wanted to, they could make sex with chickens seem just as normal, or sex with children for that matter. You've been had.

Homosexuality is a disorder by definition

I see you've bought into that excuse, like so many others.

Homosexuality is a CHOICE to live an evil life.

Calling homosexuality a disorder is not an excuse. It is merely a term that differentiates between normal behavior and deviant behavior. Pedophilia is also a disorder, but I wouldn't hesitate to hang a son-of-a-bitch who molested a child. The fact is that homosexual men feel an impulse that heterosexual men don't feel, for whatever reason. What they choose to do with that impulse, however, is on them.

I’d like to know why you think this young man’s life is anybody’s business.

Exactly!

The gay Gestapo thinks it's their business while lecturing the rest of us to 'stay out of their bedroom'. I don't know anyone who wants in 'their bedroom'! They should mind their own business.

From post #37 Whether it qualifies for full blown mental illness is merely a matter of semantics

The mental illness is just a modern day fancy excuse for someones choice to live an evil life.

Maybe you don't, but you do choose whether to act on those attraction, whether to have a sexual encounter. We all make those choices and their are a wide variety of reasons that better judgment should prevail. Many people have erotic urges, of all sorts, it is a choice whether or not to act on those urges. So yes, homosexuality is a choice, just as all those other choices are.

Oh my, the times our son has asked for help and then stabbed us in the back.

One of my former teachers went through the same thing with her son. When he finally came home to them, he came home to die. He never heard another word from any of 'his friends'. His REAL FRIENDS took care of him while he was on his death bed.

I'm sorry this has happened to you but never stop loving him. He knows who really cares about him but just can't force himself to believe it.

I know many people against/hates homosexuality. I don't know anyone who is against/or hates the PERSON. I certainly don't.

As a hospice volunteer I do as much for an HIV patient as I do for any other patient. When they are laying there looking for someone to care there is no way I could turn my back on them. And I can assure you I don't know any professional healthcare provider that will turn their back either.

Gee, ya think the young man might want absolutely NOTHING to do with these so called friends? Perhaps he returned to family to get away from them, and refuses to have contact with them. They set up a website where the gay guy plays drama queen, typical homosexual tactics.

Agreed. If I can choose to hold off on sex until I am married, gays can also choose not to engage in that lifestyle, and this is what is required of Christians with homosexual tendencies.

The problem is those critical of his parents and what they are trying to do, don't believe in Christ. The idea that someone can step away from the destructive “gay” lifestyle threatens them. They mock God through their ridiculous and ignorant remarks.

What is also threatening and maddening to those that are obnoxious on this thread, is that Exodus International has had major success stories of “gays” that have permanently left the destructive “gay” lifestyle. Some don't want to hear this or accept this. They don't have the stones or belief in God to over come this disturbing and perverted lifestyle.

Thanks for trying though ... maybe some closet “gays” on this thread might find help by stealthily looking over the website - Exodus International. http://www.exodus-international.org/ You are so right, netmom, age is not an issue. The issue is caring about the person. Many Christians I know would gladly give their life for their country, family and other loved ones. For some here, that's a quaint concept. They don't relate to it, so they MOCK concern and love that others show. It's a pity - perhaps they don't have that in their life and why they MOCK God and family that care about their son. What's also a pity is that Christianity is free. The price has been paid and still they reject Him.
