Hey Professor Gates- use your brains next time. Simply say- “good evening officers and I’m glad you are out doing your job tonight. I feel so much safer now. Oh, I’m the owner of this home and here is my ID to prove it.”
Absolutely! It could have been handled very simply, but Gates seemed to want the conflict. The police should be applauded for doing their job to protect the community.
Anyone with a iota of common sense handles things just like that. However, you must remember sir, you are speaking of a Department Chair of Hahhhhvahhhd, so common sense has long been educated out of Mr. Gates. Or, perhaps, he never had any to begin with and his education only created a true moron with some initials after his name...
