The Hill: "I think it's probably 50/50," Sen. George Voinovich (R-Ohio) told CNBC in an interview when asked how much of the GOP's opposition to healthcare reform proposals backed by Obama is driven by a desire to "declaw" the president politically.

Simply because I believe that although it may be well-intentioned (and I emphasize “may”), it is, however, an ill-conceived, immature piece of legislation, more likely to harm than heal the broken system. So, I'm pragmatic enough to get it stopped by any means possible - honorable or dishonorable. We don't have to throw the baby out with the bath water.

I felt that way about immigration reform, as well. The laws needed help, not euthanasia.

So old Ohio George thinks it’s 50-50 that the effort to stop futher erosion of the market economy by a group of dedicated marxists is based on political considerations alone. Gee George,have you noticed medicare is nearly broke and has a projected $31 trillion unfunded liability? Go back to your nap rino. You’re part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Actually, it’s good to listen to the entire video. He’s opposed to Obamacare and bigger government and is proposing a bipartisan group to take a long term look (over many months) at all the issues instead of passing this bill.
