To be fair, the auto warranty scum disregard all of the telemarketing laws and most use robo calls (which have ben banned under federal law since 1991).

A number of state attorneys general have been clamping down of late - about 3 years toolate.

The guy should not have made those threats, of course.

Granted, the guy went a bit overboard, but I do see a rapidly
encroaching control by “thought police” who will criminalize
any thought or speech that goes against the party or system.

Asking the women to have phone sex works much better, and you can always ask the male callers to tell you about their homo-life style. If he’s really limp wrested ask him about his aids treatments.

Do not call lists are ignored. Why should someone not answer their own phone??
A persons phone is not a public resource.

Why should someone who is trying to run a business have to put up with these parasites? Should he really have to contend with 10 calls a day from telemarketers? I have seen that many calls come in while working at home.

There is no way in heck this guy should be charged with anything. The bottom feeding telemarketers should be the ones charged.

People should be mad when these calls come. Threatening to kill their families may be a bit much; but the world would probably be a better place if their building suffered major damage.

Although certainly not the brightest idea he had, to be sure. In his defense I have to say that I got on their calling list myself. I am on the national do not call registry. They still called. i filed complaints with the registry. Asked the solicitors directly to take my name off the list. Let the phone ring off the hook. They continued for about 3 months. It was VERY frustrating.
I would ask nicely for them not to call again, tell them i wasn’t interested, told them i was on the do not call list. They just never gave up until one day it just stopped.

Him getting arrested for terrorism is over the top though. Clearly he alarmed them, so maybe harassment a misdemeanor at best. But a d felony?
Overkill.

I am curious to know if anyone knows what agency made the arrest???

federal, state, local???
