Were it not for the fact that she is governor and a national political figure, it is unlikely that many citizens would donate money to her legal defense fund.”***

An ordinary citizen also doesn't face 20 unfounded ethics charges that cost them $500,000 to defend.

Thomas Daniel has a different view of common sense than I do. I see NOTHING improper about what Palin did. These lawsuits were filed BECAUSE Palin is a public figure, therefore her status as a public figure should not disqualify her from seeking financial assistance to fight them.
