We need Honduras more than they need us.
We have a large base at
Comayagua (Palmerola or Soto Cano Air Base). The runways are C-5 capable, one is about 8,000 feet, and the other is 6500 feet. It's a lot better and safer airport than
Toncontin, the civilian International airport.
We don't have a base in Panama anymore.
We need Honduras.

Honduras should, if any “relations are damaged”, evict the base and set up air-defense of the airports, demanding that all US air-traffic use the civilian airport.

Unfortunately, we no longer need Honduras since the CIC is siding with the marxists. He wants to weaken us by destroying our economic and military capabilities. He wants Honduras and Columbia to lose. That's why Columbia is now buying weaponry from India and NATO countries like Spain.
Sad, sad, times.
