“Will the NRA, TAX groups, CPR, abortion etc be there too Jim?” We need them ALL to be there. Prolifers could add thousands to the turnout. Pro 2nd amendmenters - even more.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like... victory.Just wanted to clarify that that too was a rhetorical reference, drawn from a movie, and that no actual napalm was used in the production of that post.

I KNOW that we need to adopt the VERY successful tactics of the left. We need to be more aggressive than a TEA PARTY . We need civil disorder to make our point .
You both have a point in your recent posts. We cannot continue to do the same thing and expect a different result. If I recall correctly 300,000 people were on the mall in Washington two days after the inauguration for the March for Life. Not a single major news outlet covered it as far as I know.
That said, I think there are many ways we can do this without using the kind of civil disorder that lands people in jail. A kindler gentler civil disorder if you like. Expand the tea party idea to visiting not just state capitols or DC, but visit the politicians' local offices and their homes. If ACORN can bus people to the AIG employees homes then why is Chris Dodd's home off limits to us?

I’ve been saying the same for years. Watching Eastern Europe, particularly Poland throw off their chains was inspiring. I considered that our country was too large geographically to get enough people of one mind to participate in a national strike. It would work but how do we convince a nation this large to do it? We need a leader with the cajones to come forward.

"Im in the game! I will be arriving on Friday evening 9/11 and be there for the Saturday events. Any other Kansans in the game?"
Hi, Check out and post on your Kansas Free Republic Forum to see if other Freepers from Kansas are planning to come.
At the National Freeper Convention banquet the evening of 9/12 the tables will have state flags to guide Freepers to sit with other Freepers from their particular state. It is such fun to get to know other Freepers from your state, just ask us Florida FReepers! :)
Freepers! If you need a room, be sure to book at the Sheraton National Hotel and get our great Freeper group rate! Also get your Freeper Convention ticket for a Convention you won't want to miss! Any questions, just FreepMail me! Jean :)

When do you think the sell-out date will be? My in-laws are visiting around then but haven't finalized their schedule, and while it would be a great escape, Mrs. VanShuyten would be very disappointed if I didn't make time for them.

Fortunately, we'll be there from 9-11 to 9-13! We're really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we booked our (non-refundable) room back in early May before we knew about the Freeper Convention. That said, we may be able to attend some convention events but I'm gonna have to work on hubby as these plans were made with an extended vacation in other areas and the expense is adding up fast. Is the itinerary available? Right now, it's between FR Convention and Gettysburg, lol. No offense to my fellow Freepers, but my husband has never been to Gettysburg and has wanted to go for some time. As of right now, we've not booked that leg of the trip, so I might be able to do a little arm twisting ;)

Hey Navy Vet. I like these. Thank you.
I will try to get a small sign in my luggage so I will choose one that will fit on a 12x12.
I bought 6 small flags that I can carry with us.
It would be great to get everyone on board with 2 or 3 chants.
