I don't think any of the above follow from the Biblical notion that the husband is the head of the household who also has a duty to love his wife and childrens for whom he is responsible.

Ephesians 5:25-29 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Wrong.Submitting to Biblical authority does not lead to those kinds of actions. On the contrary, it would make any man a better husband.

However, any man who twists Scripture to justify any of that behavior, well, deserves what he gets from God for it. I have no use for ANYONE who tries to twist Scripture in an attempt to manipulate another's behavior.
