I know we can’t expect this from the “journalists” at any of the networks or major newspapers, but it sure would be interesting to take a look at the political donations of the companies who were awarded these contracts, along with their their owners and senior managers.

If they're even real companies, you mean.

I looked at the ones from my state- there were two contracts locally; one for $60,000 in road signs for a town that probably has only 400 summer residents. The other was for some $80,000 road project in a very small town, way out in the boonies. Makes one wonder...
