Michael Milken, 60,000 Deaths, and the Story of Dendreon
DeepCapture.com ^ | 6.18.09 | Mark Mitchell

What follows is part 1 of a 15-part series. The remaining installments will appear on Deep Capture over the next several weeks, after which point the story will be published in its entirety. It is a story about the travails of just one small company, but it describes market machinations that have affected hundreds of other companies, and it contains a larger message for anyone concerned about the “deep capture” of our nation’s media and regulatory bodies. * * * * * * * *

This story, like too many others, begins with Jim Cramer, the CNBC personality, making “a mistake.”

How repulsive these greedy monsters are.
So Cramer’s the entertaining tool .. somehow
I’m not surprised.

I hope SOMEONE goes after these worms. If
true as stated, they have blood on their hands.

Interested to see the next chapters, and
any hope of reforming the SEC, which is
BADLY in need of it.

Milken’s crimes? The Fatico hearings showed that the only crime was Milken and his lawyer trying to show the government that what they were doing wasn’t a crime. Milken should’ve gone after the government as the publicity hungry criminals that they are. That was the advice his brother was giving him.

Like Denninger says, the market won't get better until folks start going to jail. Boortz says folks vote with their dollars every day, well any votes in the market this year are saps.

You can see a lot of this happening again today with Human Genome Sciences (partnered with Glaxo Smith Kline), who just released positive Phase III trial data this morning for a lupus treatment that will be the first new lupus drug in 50 years.

All of the analysts (with very few exceptions) were publicly predicting failure while the institutions they worked for were still accumulating the stock. It’s now tripled in value in pre-market and could even go up another multiple or two during today’s trading.

I have always speculated that antioxidants and other healthy types of treatments were the biggest threats to major drug companies. My father sold for Wyeth labs for fifteen years and it was years later that we found out just how deadly many of the pills he sold actually were.

This reminds me of what they did to ‘Overstock.com’. I think this site was created by the CEO of Overstock.com.

Cramer is a Soro’s tool.

You're right about the CEO of Overstock.com being behind the site. His name is Dr. Patrick Byrne.

I've read parts of the site and Soros hadn't come up. Cramer and Soros seem to run in different circles, not that I would know what circles they run in. :)
