"Do we as well transfer the federal debt to the states dividing the liabilities by each states population ? " Revoke all our pledges of monies to other countries and the IMF(they never did a d@man thing for us anyway), then send the money to payoff anything we owe.

Revoke all our pledges of monies to other countries and the IMF(they never did a d@man thing for us anyway), then send the money to payoff anything we owe. Great idea. There is probably money to be had somewhere. We probably are richer than we know. Once we get control back we may be allright and be able to work out the debt or call in what is due us.

Revoke all our pledges of monies to other countries and the IMF(they never did a d@man thing for us anyway), then send the money to payoff anything we owe. While not a Bad Idea, it really wouldn't help much. The largest part of the debt is due to transfer payments from the government to individuals. The defense budget, which is specifically authorized in the Constitution, comes in a poor second, in terms of spending by the government. Perhaps third after the Porkulus package is in full bloom.
