2 problems I see,
First, we hold new elections for the house, what says we don’t just send the same nit wits back again.
Second, An amendment requiring term limits must be enacted. Something along the lines of “ all senators and reps may serve only 2 consecutive or non-consecutive terms in their lifetime. Those currently serving will be permitted to finish their current term and then will be reqd to retire. No family member of a retired officeholder will be permitted to run for a vacated office”

EXACTLY! Here we are, blaming the Congress-critters for the problem when in fact WE THE PEOPLE VOTED THEM IN OFFICE.
It’s really simple. You want the Congress to follow the Constitution? Then ONLY VOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO DO SO AND MAKE SURE THOSE WHO DONT ARE DEFEATED.

I agree. I would be generous and make it 6 terms for Congress and 3 terms for Senate. While its a lot, it would still get a lot of incumbents out of there.
