It’s pleasant to think about the IRS not being able to pay salaries...because several million taxpayers stiffed them.
Um... most folk who work for someone else for a living tend to withhold about enough to pay the taxes, so they don’t have to dig deep in April (after paying off the kid’s Christmas)... so what is it you’re proposing here?

Have you seen the recent charts of taxes collected this year compared to last year? That is by no means because of unemployment. The difference is too great.
