Looks like JI has figured-out how to attack a Jakarta hotel with something less than 80 to 90 percent Indonesian Muslim casualties, which has been their previous track record and presumably why they stopped doing the bombing in Jakarta (the previous 2003 bombing at the JW Marriot was 90 percent Indonesian Muslim caualties).
Even Bali had a greatly underreported number of Indonesian victims (dead + wounded), which I recall was about 400 to 500 total. A lesser percentage of Muslims since Bali is largely Hindu. But the local casualty numbers were lost in the dominant reporting about the Aussie victims.
In any case I am certain that in this event the JI has once again killed and injured a lot of innocent locals, even through they were able to plant a bomber in the restaurant.
