Ah, more shallow name calling from a Genesis hater. I am a conservative and proud of it, you calling me a liberal is foundation less. You have avoided talking about Darwinism and Human Evolution altogether, and I'm the liberal? By accepting Human Evolution you deny the Genesis story in the Bible, and if you deny the Genesis story then why not deny everything in the Bible? How do you pick and choose, at your own fancy? Is the Bible a buffet to you, pick what you like and leave the rest? While we are labeling each other a hater of things, I suppose I should label you a Genesis hater as you surely are.

Here's a question for you, do you hate Catholics and other Christians? Do you hate the Biblical Jesus?

LOL! I have made my position clear. You keep avoiding the direct questions I put to you. You, yourself, admit to “picking and choosing” since you use a “standard interpretation.” Well, in English “interpretation” does not mean literal. You can’t even address the etymology behind a simple single word.

I understand Genesis’ content and context. You clearly cannot. And, as I said, that inability combined with the way you “argue” by repeating yourself and totally ignoring direct questions and arguments put to you is how liberals argue. If you understand, then tell me what Genesis says on how Adam was not created as the first man. Please tell me how Genesis shows us that man evolved from animals. Never mind the fact that you did not say whether you hate Catholics or not, the fact that you avoided the question makes me wonder. Do you hate or love Jesus? Do you hate the Bible? You are not the only person who can question whether someone hates something or not.

It is silent on the detailed "how" of Adam's creation, as it is silent on the world's creation, on chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology and many other detailed subjects. It just says God created it all and I can find nothing wrong with that statement. Again, do you know what or how long a "yom" is? Do you know why I ask? Never mind the fact that you did not say whether you hate Catholics or not, the fact that you avoided the question makes me wonder.

I haven't avoided anything. I think Catholics are great -- I used be one, but I left the Church for philosophical reasons, not theological ones. You, OTOH, have yet to answer the very simple questions I have put to you. As I said, your tag is an insult to Catholics and thinking Christians. Do you hate the Bible? You are not the only person who can question whether someone hates something or not.

Not only do I embrace the Bible and take it as God's Word -- from front to back -- I clearly know a lot more about it than you do. I took graduate level courses on the Bible when I was in college.

You have several questions still before you. You continue to "debate" like a liberal -- avoid the question, obfuscate and then just go straight into ad hominem. If you are not a liberal, you sure act like one. As I said: res ipsa loquitur (Google it).

It is not silent, the scripture clearly says that man was created in God's image. Yom in this context doesn't mean anything, it is pointless to bring it up. God said He created man in His own image, Yom has nothing to do with that.

Words have meaning. Created how? And Yom is an example of just how it pretty much impossible for anyone to say they interpret the Bible literally.

Something you do not comprehend is not a “lie.” It is just something you don’t understand. The Catholic Church in your quote specifically says one can be a Christian AND understand TToE. And many are and do. Your insult stands.

Which brings us back to Doe. Science is a tool. How it is wielded is where the evil lies. How you claim it caused children to be murdered is baffling. That tool has helped you if have taken advantage of any modern medical breakthrough, including prescription medicines (but also many medical procedures).

Covering your eyes doesn’t make the sun go away.
