Not to mention he has the “executive style hair” that every lying, coniving, backstabbing boss I’ve ever had did.

James Carville (DNC): "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."

He's a big government socialist. His RomneyCare state run health care system is a big government boondoggle.

Precisely. And anyone trying to convince me Romney is a conservative has NEVER been able to explain away this action.

Get ready for a hell of a fight, because he’s going to come after Sarah like you wouldn’t believe.

Vichy republicans like Mitt Romney
have corrupted and destroyed this Republic
by collaborating with the
National Socialist Democrat American Party

Prediction (Hey, it’s just a prediction)

2012 GOP nominee: Mitt Romney.

2012 Third Party nominee Sarah Palin

2012 Democratic nominee: Obama

Result: Even with economy in the sewer, Obama sweeps to a huge victory as Palin takes away more than enough votes from Romney to insure another 4 years of Obama. Conservatives wonder, “What went wrong?”

But what does Jim Thompson think? Why should we listen to this Robinson fella?

As always, you nail it Jim.

Jefferson was right:

‘The best government is the least government’

And also notable is the fact that during Jefferson’s term in office, he only delivered TWO speeches, something that babbling RINO Romney ought to emulate.

I'd have a hard time voting for him. It was too convenient that he became pro-life and became a life member of the NRA just in time to run for president. And then there's that Reagan hair-do thing. It all reeks of phoniness.

The problem is, if he gets the nomination, as usual his Dem opponent will be far to his left.

We get stuck with a choice between Stinks and Stinks Even Worse.

Again.

You mean there are still people who don’t know that Romney is just another hack, finger-in-the-wind politician? Are they ignorant or just discombobulated Bushbots looking for some small-tent coattail?

There are too many enemies within.

Didn’t vote for him last time so see no reason to do so in the future.

Here is a quote of Mitt’s about Jesse Helms that I had not seen before.

In the 1994 campaign, Romney also proudly labeled himself a moderate. “I’m not a partisan politician,” he said in an interview with The Post that fall. “My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses.”

In his 1994 debate with Kennedy, Romney also refused to endorse the “Contract With America,” which House Republicans had proudly presented as their campaign manifesto, and he balked when Kennedy tried to link him to the Reagan administration. “I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush,” Romney retorted.

Ahh, but you see Jim, it's not about standing for what you believe in or principles at all. It's about winning at any cost! It doesn't matter who the Republican nominee happens to be, that nominee can't be worse that our current TOTUS and a Republican MUST win the election! This seems to be a common sentiment from Romney supporters as of late.

It's going to take time to replace the Republican party (as they will simply be absorbed into the Democrat party for the most part). It may take a very long time until their replacements can amass enough power to start to serve their constituents as they were meant to, unlike our current ‘rulers’ who only care about themselves, but you have to start somewhere, and the time seems to be now.
