An obvious question arises when the Snopes matter comes up. Has this document been presented to any official as proof of Sen. Obama’s eligibility for the office of president, has it been presented to any court as a legal representation of his birth? If it has, the people making the claim should give us the specifics, if it has not, then they should give us an explanation.
This is really no more complicated that getting a passport or applying for Social Security, why is it being made so. As a craggy old salt once said “if you don’t know who was responsible, then no one was responsible”, so who was responsible.

This is the first piece I’ve seen that suggests that the President can’t show his birth certificate because he doesn’t have one. At least not fromt he US.

Sadly, all the federal institutions have degenerated into self-preservation mode, and the politicians are so solidly entrenched that they just don't care anymore what the Constitution says. It says whatever they need it to say to keep the balance of power the way it is.

I believe your assesment is correct. I applaud those that are pursuing this in the courts; it is obvious that there is a nepharious reason that Obama has refused to release his records. Unfortunately, enough money and lawyers can protect the guilty indefinately. At this point I have lost all faith in our legal system.
On the bright side, it took Carter to give us Reagan. I thought Carter was as bad as it could get, but Obama is much worse. Obama’s Kenyan grandmother says he is defeating the white man with his mind. He and the Dimocrats are creating a huge power vacuum. This type of opportunity comes along only once every generation or two.
I only hope that the leader who gets sucked into the vacuum during the next couple of election cycles is a true conservative with the courage to put a spike through the heart of the Liberal BS that is now destroying our country. With the right leadership the United States of America, will once again be the shining beacon it was to past generations.

My only disappointment was that Newt Gingrich, who became the Speaker of the House, & the GOP refused to support Bob Dornan’s request for an investigation in the election in which Dornan rightly claimed of fraudulent voting when Loretta Sanchez(who dropped her married name so that she could pander to the Hispanic vote) won Dornan's seat in the House!
What does he need to show for the issue to just go away? If he came forward with the birth certificate, who would believe it? Would the original have to be submitted to forensic document examiners chosen by the plaintiffs? Would the state ever give up its original for examination?
I just don't see how it is as simple as him coming forward with a piece of paper and everyone just saying "OK" and going away.

That’s true...but...it was only a matter of time before Dornan would have been defeated in any event. The demographics of that district changed to overwhelming Hispanic and Democrat (Santa Ana, CA). Here in southern CA., a large number of formerly Republican congressional districts are now in Democrat hands due largely to demographic changes. I live near the Pasadena and Glendale area. Back in the day this was rock solid Goldwater-Reagan territory. Now it is overwhelmingly liberal Democrat.
(Not only that, but Keith Bloverman put "Jim Thompson" on his list as the SECOND "Worst Person In The World"!!
