Congress is charged to rule on the validity of the votes of the Electoral College. They were the body that could have ruled the votes for Obama invalid on the basis of his not being a natural born citizen.

They didn’t.

Nope, they were too busy doing a Spanish Inquisition on Johnny Boy who was most assuredly born of American parents.

This whole country has gone completely insane. Things are getting more nuts by the minute and the pace is accelerating exponentially. Just like water down a toilet.

“Congress is charged to rule on the validity of the votes of the Electoral College.”

Yes, but all actions of the legislative and executive branches are subject to judicial review. The congress cannot accept the electoral votes for an unqualified candidate, i.e. President and VP being from the same state etc.,

Up until the point of the electoral vote certification in Congress, the matter was one of political process, only after certification could the courts intervene.
