Keith Olberman. I’ve been staying at my father’s this week and dad is an Olberman fan. Needless to say he watches Olberman on a nightly basis. The amount of mocking, snide hatred this so-called journalist spews is beyond my ability to stomach. After two nights of nothing but Republican and especially, Sarah Palin, bashing, I’d had enough. I had to leave the room. I can certainly understand why MSNBC is in the toilet as far as ratings are concerned.

Nobody hates better or more complete than the left. They’ve raised hatred to an art form. Instead of the constant attempts to pin racial bigotry and hatred on the Right, they ought to claim their mastery outright and be proud of it.

Nobody hates better or more complete than the left.

That's the defining difference between the left and conservatives -- the left hates, conservatives get angry. Since the left cannot understand righteous anger as anything other than hatred, they project their own hatred onto conservatives in an attempt to make themselves feel better.

And that, in a nutshell, is Keith Olberman, spokesperson for the left.

Further, Olberman is a perfect example of George Orwell's "minute of hate." Go get a copy of 1984, highlight the passages on the state sponsored mass hate of the enemy of the day. Lay it open where your dad will see it. Other than that, I share your pain -- I have family who won't speak to me because I'm so "hateful", I haven't gone to Thanksgiving for the last several years, and one uncle threatened to kick me off his land because I had a bumper sticker supporting a republican congressman.

C.S. Lewis, in one of his science fiction Christian allegories, makes the great point that God gave us hate so that we could have the proper attitude toward sin. We turned it around as a weapon against our fellow human beings.
