Barack Obama with an embarrassing gaffe in an interview on MLB Network last night. While chatting with Bob Costas, Obama clearly calls the White Sox’s former longtime home field “Cominskey Park”. It was no slip of the tongue.
(So-called Sox fan calls it “Cominskey” Park. Awkward.)
Obama has long claimed loyalty to the White Sox thanks to spending a good deal of his political and professional life on the south side of Chicago.

I can’t get video behind the firewall but heard the clip on Rush’s show. Didn’t he also call it Cominskey FIELD instead of Park?
Obama is also a big fan of the Kenyan City Royals.
Did he ever see Manny Ortez play there when the Red Sox were in town?

Freudian slip. He was probably trying to think of a way to fit it into some kind of Alinsky diktat and mixed the two.
Remember, if a Republican pronounces Nu-cu-lar like he's a Texan it's a sign he's stupid. If a Democrat mispronounces a sports stadium it's a sign you should "Shut up before ACORN busts your teeth in."
Comiskey is the Park. Not Kamminsky.
I listened to the clip and you just misunderstood what he said.
He was talking about his heroes and fond memories and he referred to “Comrade Alinski” not Cominisky.
I always figured those Sox and Nike logos that Baraq and Blackie O wore were some kind of sponsor deal...
Obama also likes to go with John Kerry up to Lambert Field to watch the Packers. :0)

It's one of those local Chicago customs to occasionally intentionally mispronounce it as “Kaminski” (note the K, guys) Park.

This proves that Obama actually lived in Chicago for a while. Now we just have to clear up the birth issue and what happened to all the other documentation on his life and we're all set.
Zero hasn’t been keeping up. The Comiskey family has relinquished the name of the new building to U.S. Cellular. While some of my older friends call it Comiskey Park, many younger fans just call it “The Cell” since it is listed as U.S. Cellular Field. While the restrooms and sightlines in the new park are nicer, it sort of lacks the personality of Old Comiskey.
A poster on another thread said Obama talked at length with Costas about growing up in Hawaii, but said nothing about being born there. Seems kind of odd not to mention that.
I’d like to see a transcript, but so far I can’t find one.
