The thing that is surprising to me is that this guy has *any* support on FR, for doing what he did.
His supporters are indeed short-sighted. They apparently can't be bothered to look past their opposition to Obama, and see the larger implications of soldiers filing suit over their deployment orders, and deciding whose orders they will and will not follow.

Politics these days, they're a’ shallow...

Yup.

I can not think of anything more shallow and dangerous in politics today than for the Democrat Party to get away with openly seating an unconstitutional President and Republicans going along to get along!

The Democrat Party has caused a constitutional crisis by thinking their lust for power is above the constitution. That goes for their Rino friends and the media, who helped cover up their crimes.

For me it is not being all done (the legal challenge) to ‘get” the other guy. I was not even supporting McCain so he's not my guy who lost.

It is done for the survival of the constitution as the law of the land. Otherwise, our Nation is a total fascist nightmare that I don't want to survive. And it is barely surviving now because our elite are so corrupt thinking they are above all decency and the rule of law.

Every one of us that makes the oath has to decide what constitutes a legal order EVERY time we consider something questionable. The implications of the course you appear to be advocating lead to blind obedience and an "I was just following orders" mentality.

That is what happened in Rome and what the Founders were desperate to avoid for us. Wealthy Roman could and did actually fund their own armies. Fortunately, here the military swear alligence to the Constitution not a political party or person. That oath may be put to the test.
