Except you are assuming that all of this legal challenge is happening in a vaccuum. These legal things are going to be advancing during a time when Obama' political capital may well be melting away, too. There could be other cases arise outside of the military where the government is trying to enforce some executive order. Or even the collection of taxes might be callenged. It could become burdensome on the government to have to deal with this issue in case after case where it (the government) is initiating the case and the defendant demands proof that the President lawfully holds his office. If Obama's political popularity evaporates, this will become a major issue. At some point he may well be forced to show his birth certificate. I am not predicting anything and tend toward being as cynical as you sound. Just because all of those people voted for him does not mean they will always love him. Both Bushes had 90% approval at one point in their presidency and both went into the tank. If he gets unpopular, people will want to believe he is a liar and deceiver and illegitimate.

Does anybody read the articles posted before commenting anymore? I was hoping to get away with that today...

Actually I respect Mr. Watada’s stance; even if I don’t really agree with him philosophically... the whole “war-crimes” thing should have been seriously considered (on the merit of the legitimacy of ops in Iraq, rather than on the President), and the resolution to activities in Iraq could be explained as a resumption of War after the cease-fire had been breached by Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi military operations which included active-targeting of US aircraft. (IIRC we had a cease-fire and didn’t end the declaration of war from Pr Bush Sr.)

"How do we reconcile this action with the objectors who refused their duty claiming that Bush was selected-not-elected, or that Iraq was an illegal war? Peter Brown, Ehren Watada, etc" we can reconcile it because those points you mentioned are proven false. Obama's eligibility has reasonable doubt.

I would also speculate that if the Messiah is found to not be native born then any law or any action he has undertaken is illegal. That would reset the clock back to the day President Bush left office.

> Either way, by your own admission this is clearly now a judicial oligarchy, not a constitutional republic.
If so, how sad that America should end up like that.
> You’re depending on one tiny branch to respect the Constitution when every other segment of the Republic has ignored it in this case: Electorate, Congress, outgoing POTUS, governors, state legislatures, generals, colonels, ambassadors, past presidents, etc, etc.
In fact, I’m doing nothing of the sort, as I live in a Constitutional Monarchy.
It grieves me to see my American friends in this position, and I wonder how long it will be before they take away your guns. Because they shall surely take away your guns, without raising a whimper. We know this because they have already demonstrated that your Constitution isn’t worth the parchment it was written on.
And nobody — nobody — is saying “boo” to stop them.
Perhaps 1776 wasn’t such a good idea, ay.

I firmly believe, that the second Obama can prove his citizenry and have it authenticated, this Major would thank the usurper, (and in that case, our proven President.) He’d grab his bags, and off he’d deploy.
It might be one thing if this were a lance corporal. But he’s not. He’s an Officer and I expect he’s fully educated and aware of what he’s up against.

Is this what they call a smoking-gun? In legal terms, this may be deemed a "loss of standing" for his lawsuit.

What’s all this “end of term” stuff you’re talking about? African Presidents are elected “For Life”. Just ask Idi Amin or Robert Mugabe.
Or Barack Obama.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that according to the constitution , the (Democrat) Party is solely responsible for vetting the candidate. And there is no mandate that the party must demand proof of eligibility. However, that would make the Democrat Party the responsible party, not Obama
Can the plaintiff sue the Democrat Party to show proof ?

Re your #13: “Okay 0 what you going to do next to undermine our country and our military?”
Oh, an old fashioned Stalinesque PURGE comes to mind.
It won’t be pretty, either. The Chicago / Soros machine isn’t going to tolerate this one little bit.

His supporters are indeed short-sighted. They apparently can't be bothered to look past their opposition to Obama, and see the larger implications of soldiers filing suit over their deployment orders, and deciding whose orders they will and will not follow.
I am willing to be enlightened but this is about a specific point, whether the Constitution is followed, not about who and what orders to follow. There was a reason our founders wanted the president to be a natural born citizen.
