Yeah, but that's because the Census Bureau insists on breaking out "Hispanics" as "non-white". Even in the deep South, Latinos were considered "white"--we had several families of Mexicans who followed the harvests (this is back when schools were still segregated). They went to the local "white" schools. "Hispanic" is not a race, though quite a few Hispanics are racists (including Sotomayer--a member of "La Raza").
With "Hispanics" included, the "white" total is 95%.
