She could make like Ronaldus Maximus 1976-1980. A lot of support for Republican candidates, and leading the charge on a signature issue, as did Reagan on the Panama Canal Treaty.

Could it be any sweeter than that the big opening salvo is courtesy of WaPo?
Nope. Its awesome. Can’t wait to see what is next.
and so it begins.
As in, the race is on,
The game is afoot
Nice job.
Yeah, I was shocked that the Washington Compost(As my man Mark Levin calls them) would even have any contact with Sarah Palin
I don't know if Palin penned this, or the Washington Post.
If it was Sarah, any speculation about her leaving the Republican party has been refuted.
Does she have the power/clout to clean up the republican party and make them worth voting for again?
Energy IS a winning issue if framed the correct way. Compare the vast amounts of cheap affordable energy via oil, natural gas and nuclear versus the high cost of “windmills and sunshine”. It’s so easy to paint liberal as idealistic hippies not connected with reality when you say their ideas of energy are “windmills and sunshine”.
Ditto.

The first shot has been fired over the bow of the SS Obama.
Its sweet to see this opening policy statement appearing in the Washington Post.
You Go Girl!
It means all the leftdolts, LSM hacks, and MittBots were dead wrong and are about to get a year long smackdown.
Can Mr. Momma Bear poster please drop his image here? TIA!
They are still in business to make a profit — and nothing sells papers more than a good cat fight.
“We have an important choice to make. Do we want to control our energy supply and its environmental impact? Or, do we want to outsource it to China, Russia and Saudi Arabia? Make no mistake: President Obama’s plan will result in the latter.”
This is a very good point. Its the second weakest argument of Cap and Trade. Without agreements across the world, some countries will be better off, some will be worse off, and under Obama’s plan, the US will fall into the latter category. It’s a another transfer of wealth.
The weakest argument of course is that its not proven at all that global warming is man made.
So, there’s a game or a race beginning? Okay.
Thanks.
Yup. One big difference, though: At this stage, even Ronaldus Magnus didn’t have the national support and exposure that Gov. Palin has...
