I agree, it is an omen. Somehow I GUESS that 0bama did not say “Oh goodness.”

So both the president and vice-president have lost telepromtpters. That means the teleprompter of the Speaker of the House must now take charge. The Constitutional succession must be followed.

*chuckle*

ABC News' Sunlen Miller and Jake Tapper report: If a teleprompter falls in the White House, does it make a sound? Yes, especially when it's the President's teleprompter -- or TOTUS as it is often referred to.

You know, that ending jumped out at me as soon as I read the piece. The instinctive reaction of the media is to cast Obama as one of them. Yup, happens to us, too! Never mind that there should be some difference between a TV reporter or anchor and the President. The media's "he's one of us" mentality never has been more apparent.

Had this happened to a Republican President, the ending would have been: "Unlike his [Dem] predecessor, who was known for his command of the facts with scarcely a reference to notes, President Republican became quite flustered when his ever-present Teleprompter crashed to the floor...."

Teleprompter suicide. I was wondering why Obama said, “I can't take it anymore! Goodbye, cruel world.”

"Midway through his speech on urban and metropolitan policy in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building this afternoon, one of his two small glass prompters came crashing down, hitting the wood floor and crashing in many pieces. It made quite a ruckus. “Oh, goodness,” a startled President Obama said. “Sorry about that, guys.” "

Act of God.
