Going after bank robbers is OK. Because bank robbers break the rules that hold society together. Going after people who shoot unicorns is NOT. (Because unicorns don't exist).
Identifying trolls is healthy for the community - trolls exist - they damage our ability to communicate...

That would probably cut down on the number of trolls, but I wonder if it would eliminate them. It might also impact the site in ways that would prove to be unacceptable. Too much control can be just as damaging as too little.

If they can’t find a $ per week to donate to Free Republic, they probably are not conservatives, who know how to manage their money and budget for good causes.
Freep Loaders to many of us are like the illegals in our cities/states demanding the services that we pay for.

Well, I certainly don’t hold any grudges against anyone who is that bad off.
I can see where some things just can’t be done.
I know I would like to donate more to the people I want in office. This
is the only way the right will get back in power.
I consider this site to be helpful in attracting potential allies by getting the truth out there and to help us get the right people back into power and if paying a little something for it is too much, that’s okay too.
Does that make sense?
If every Freep Loader saved a dime a day and donated it to Free Republic, Jim could do even more country saving things with Free Republic.
If they can’t save a dime a day, then their opinions aren’t worth the electrons used for their replies and posts.

I never thought that I could think that the days of Algore sandbagging Buddhists for cash would be better than a future administration. Obama is worse than anything that Clinton did and in his first six months of administration too.
Clinton’s first six months were abysmal until Greenspan collared his white trash personage and told his how he was going to run his monetary policy. From that point, Clinton was going to make his two terms.
