Interesting. Doable. Huge personal undertaking if true. “Tenacity” isn’t a strong enough word to describe what is required.
Not sure she can do it with a family. People that devoted to a goal/project tend to sacrifice everything else to achieve it - loved ones included. Remember Rush has _four_ failed marriages.
Possible, indeed. Hey, I follow her on Twitter ... that’s a start. Trent Reznor has the NIN iPhone app, pulling all things Nine Inch Nails together for millions. Rush achieved market penetration by _giving_away_ his show. Podcasts are influential. There are lots of us giving up on traditional media, looking for the new standard to access our preferred content.

That’s a bummer. Still like her, though.

There have been independants that have run for President before.
Ross Perot ran as “himself” in 92. 18.9% of the vote.
John Anderson ran as “himself” in 80. 6.6% of the vote.
I don’t think any other serious candidate for President has ever run without a party affiliation.

Sarah’s hotter than yeoman Rand.
Now where’s that Saurian brandy?

You’re right. I thought about Perot right after posting this. Teddy Roosvelt essentially ran as himself, too, although he set up his own party. What they lacked was the technology to pull it off... perhaps. If Sarah does try it, she’ll be the ultimate outsider, certainly.
Thanks for the comments back.

I am sorry, I just do not see her as being electable as the head of a ticket, maybe as a VP but not at the top.
I did not and still do not think that Hillary could be elected, And as happened in the last election, people turned to an unknown to vote for (why we are in the trouble) before they would vote for her.
Sarah Palin, at this time is a one trick pony that is very unskilled and light. Her detractors use this against her and her supporters are not paying attention to this fact. For that matter her popularity and support seem to be along the lines of that which supported Ross Perot.
Back then you would ask a Perot support why he was supporting him and he would gladly tell you that he was an outsider and he was going to kick butt. When you ask them how he was going to do that, exactly what he was proposing to do, or what his programs were. They could not tell you. Instead you got how, he made his money and how he had rescued his employees. But they really had not paid any attention to him. He was different and that is all that mattered.
The Palin supporters remind me of them very much.

Perot and Rosevelt were deliberate spoilers; they were not seeking office.

Rush didn’t “setup his own network.” - He was working for Roger Ailes. (does the name ring any bells?)

The New GOP loyalty song, just for you...
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on!
Didnt I make you feel like you were the only one - yeah!
Didnt I give you nearly everything that a I possibly can? GOP, you know I did!
And each time I tell myself that I, well I think Ive had enough,
But Im gonna show you, baby, that a citizen can be tough.
I want you to come on, come on, come on, come on and take it,
Take it!
Take another little piece of my freedom, baby!
Oh, oh, break it!
Break another little bit of my heart now, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, oh, have a!
Have another little piece of my life now, baby,
You know you got it if it makes you feel good,
Oh, yes indeed.
Youre out on the socialist street looking good,
And baby deep down in your heart I guess you know that it
aint right,
Never, never, never, never, never, never hear me when I cry,
Babe, I cry all the time!
And each time I tell myself that I, well I cant stand the
pain,
But when you spin big government news, Ill sing it once again.
Ill say come on, come on, come on, come on and take it!
Take it!
Take another little piece of my freedom now, baby.
Oh, oh, break it!
Break another little bit of my life, yeah,
Oh, oh, have a! Have another little
piece of my heart now, baby,
You know you got it, commie, if it makes you feel good.

I have been a Republican forever, voting the first time for Nixon. I have a dream, and Sarah Palin is not the one that will make that dream come true.
That dream is what is left of the Democrat party sitting in a room where it's new leaders are tell Pelosi, Waxman, Schumer, Reid, BOxer, Rangel, Conyers, Murtha, and too many to name to “Set down and shut the “F” up.”
