I have to agree with you, Bob. Just because you have the right to say or do something doesn’t mean you should. Attacking the children is absolutely not acceptable. We hated it when the Bush girls were getting drunk in public and were attacked for their behavior, and they were much older. Sasha and Malia are children. They are innocent. They seem very sweet, and they do not deserve ugly racial invective.
Let’s criticize the president for his vile, stupid, destructive policies. But the kids have nothing to do with their father’s policies; leave them alone.

That doesn’t make it right to use racist remarks but it does open the obama family up to criticism for being arrogant and stupid to parade an 11 yr old around Moscow in a 1960’s peace sign shirt when they are on official travel as representatives of America. And it makes people angry.
I think people were more upset that Chelsey and Al Gore’s kids got a pass on public drunkenness and pot possession while the Bush girl’s were piled on.

The thread was pulled that had offending posts. No one that has reported it has given the names of the posters. It was a Kos Kid that emailed about it and the article in Vancouver Sun is almost word for word what the Kos blog said. The author of the Vancouver Sun article IS a Kos Kid. Are you getting it yet?
We also took offense at Governor Sarah Palin;s children being constantly attacked. Especially the baby.

We were not attacking the kids on that thread. We WERE discussing very inappropriate clothing for and 11-year-old to be wearing in Italy on an official trip with the American President. I would have criticized the Bush twins for wearing the same outfit and I would have questioned the clothing the 15-year-old cousin was wearing if he had been with the Bush twins, also... the entire issue was one of inappropriateness.
