How is whatever replaces freedom and prosperity going to be better?

.
Yep, a promise of security that cannot be delivered, the gullible will fall for it again and again. The Democrat base.

...confront the weaknesses that have plagued our economy for decades...

Lost all credibility there. Economy has pretty much been on a tear since the Reagan tax cuts with mild interruption in 2000, then solid growth under Bush II.

Of course it will be better. We’ll all be equal — equally miserable. At least there won’t be any envy because the rich will have been wiped out (only to be replaced by the Apparatchiks and Nomenclatura).

Agreed. Besides, how do you “give” people skills? They have to learn them, and that is done primarily through work rather than school. We have people now still going to school when they are in their 30s and beyond and still haven’t learned any useful skills.

Tell you what, Mr. Prez. Why don’t we just ask people what degree they want and hand it to them? It would save a lot of time and money pretending that anyone can be a an engineer or a brain surgeon if they could just go to college.

Very good point.....

.....They talk primarily about retraining blue collar people for tech jobs.

I know there are a lot of very smart blue collar people out there. They usually are the ones who pull themselves up to a better position.

But we must also admit there are a lot of people who simply have no ambition and hide behind the union thug thing. Retraining these people is wasting money.

They will never be engineers or brain surgeons. Saying anything else is plain silly. Those people are best left to sink until they decide to swim themselves. ONLY THEN will they be ready to be retrained.

“He’s going to abolish economic cycles”

...by abolishing Ameica.

II Timothy 4:3 (paraphrase) In the End Times, people will believe doctrine...of their own desires.

0bama believes his own press. Even the stuff he ‘writes.’
