Washington — Perhaps the political future of Republican Sen. John Ensign will become clearer Monday evening at the Chianti Cafe in Las Vegas.

There, the state’s Republican Party leaders will gather to discuss other matters, but amid the mozzarella fritta and calamari appetizers, Ensign’s affair is certain to come up.

These are the loyalists, the volunteers and officials who are trying to keep a crumbling state party together in the face of the Democratic machine engineered by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

When Dems begin calling on their people to quit, maybe we should.

In the mean time, silence works best, drives the looney left nuts.

They wants us to push people out and weaken the party.

Stop accomodating the left!

I am disappointed in Ensign. Did the Devil make him "do it"?

He should resign. My gosh, he got his parents to pay $96,000 to this couple as hush money. He’s a weak link & a lousy role model. But the standards were set when clintoon the cartoon didn’t resign even though he was impeached followed by obozo who won’t release his birth certificate. People demanding honesty & integrity, morals & ethics as leadership attributes from politicians who represent the people have gone by wayside. The doors to Congress need to be closed because these politicians can’t govern themselves so why should we expect them to govern us. Viva la Revolution!

He’s a fraud. It’s time the Republicans start rolling to a higher standard. Why roll in the same mud Clinton rolled in just because Clinton rolled in it?

Time for Elephants to stand on principles!

Maybe he should go on national air and announce tearfully that “The truth is that, yes, I am a Philandering American. I’ve struggled with this every day of my life since I was six years old, and I can tell you it hasn’t been easy to endure the scorn and forced secrecy of this repressive society”. Then we can have a big Philanderer’s Pride parade and demand more Civil Rights for Philandering Americans. Make sure the media outlets all have current contact information for the top experts on Philanderer’s Rights issues, and see that the phrase “Philanderer’s Rights” gets repeated over and over again. It would save the political careers of a lot of people in both parties. Then we could start demanding quotas for philanderers, so people could start quietly wondering if he got this job because he’s the most qualified, or is it just because he’s cheating on his wife / husband / sheep?

Or we could all just move to France.

Other than the goofy part about his parents paying off the girlfriend, I couldn’t care less. What is he, 18?
