And here’s the perfect place to get all your cherry supplies: http://www.cherryrepublic.com/ The ballentines are the best, especially with a little chocolate! (Whoopeee, the Cherry Festival is over, all the fudgies can go home now! But the fireworks were awesome!)

Interesting. So I wonder how many cherries would equal, say, a 1 mg tablet dose.

Next week I’m planting two Montmorency cherry trees. These are the full size trees that reach 25-35 feet. Production begins in 3-5 years. I will stay awake until then . . .

Of all the natural remedies I’ve tried, meletonin is one of the few that actually work.

I take Melatonin every night. I would say that as a sleep aid, 95% of time it works.

I didn’t know cherries are high in Melatonin. I might start eating some cherries for a late night snack.

Today I keep saying to my self why I am craving all these Cherries I get these lager containers from Costco for the pass three weeks.

We've got a nice Barbados Cherry tree in the back yard, also known as the Acerola Cherry due to it having the highest Vitamin C content of any fruit, this cherry has in one fruit, 65 times the Vitamin C of an orange.

I used to travel frequently. This worked for me every time. Departure time examples are based on JFK in NY.
.
Going east or west: At destination, DO NOT TAKE A NAP.
Stay awake until your ‘normal’ bed time but in your new timezone time. Get up at your ‘normal’ time.
.
Going East: Planes leave NY early evening so sleep on plane, if possible. Don’t eat the dinner meal (even if 1st or business class) as it wastes two hours of sleep and just sits in your gut messing up your metabolism. Upon arrival go to the office for a normal half work day. It will usually be too early to check into the hotel anyway.
.
Going West: Planes leave early to mid morining, so sleeping is optional. Eating on plane is OK. I usually arrived home on Friday or Saturday so I just went home.
.
Never heard of melatonin before, I never needed it, but it couldn’t hurt.
.
If you do sleep during the day of arrival, you WILL have jetlag for up to a week.

Sleep: Unceasing Display Of Stubborn Ignorance

A. “Keeping Time, New findings show how circadian clocks make the body tick”
http://www.sciencenews.org/view/feature/id/57591/title/Keeping_Time
An additional long-winded verbiage to the unceasing displays of stubborn ignorance re the origin and nature of sleep.

B. Again and again:
“Unconfuse sleep-health comprehension”
http://www.the-scientist.com/community/posts/list/260/122.page#4775

Sleep origin: Sleep is inherent for genes. The earliest, RNAs, genes, in pre-metabolism life period, were active only during direct sunlight hours. They evolved their DNA workbooklog manuals in their own image.

Sleep-Health: Early monocellular organisms communities evolved serotinin, from tryptophan, for between-cells communications (from which evolved later the neural system) and followed with evolving melatonin from serotinin. Melatonin evolved to signal between-cells clean-up and maintenance time, timed during DNA genes inactivity-sleep. These processes persisted into multicell organisms, and are naturally most intense in growing organisms.
