That is what gets me however I’m beginning to think that the conservative problem isn’t so much that people are so liberal in the North East but one of message and deed. Look at RI, it elected a rock ribbed conservative Governor Carcieri.

The Northeast has a lot of welfare free loaders. They'll come out in droves every time to vote themselves more of other peoples money.
The working class feels out numbered, so many of them don't vote. They don't realize they can make a difference, and the right wing candidates never bring it to their attention - because the right wing candidates assume the same thing!
