I always thought troll meant that it was a person posing as a freepr (in the case of this forum), but a while back, I found out that a troll was a person who enjoyed causing trouble on a thread. I think that is what is going on here. The point has been made numerous times that jim rob does not endorse racism, ALL of us agree, and we agree that less than 1% of folks who do it should be held accountable..via abuse button or chastising-peer pressure and self-policing. I feel like you are being harrassed at this point. I am just pointing this out because I do care, and am really tired of reading the other persons defense of the peace sign, and attacking freepers. Please, just ignore the bait and don’t bite anymore.

Well said. Funny how somebody wants to police & hit abuse yet has no trouble hurling personal insults.

OK, I just wanted to draw them out so there would be no doubt left what their true agenda was. Not feeding trolls is wise but it is not the only way to deal with them. People need to see the pattern of inconsistency repeated a few times to be sure who is doing what.

I do appreciate your input.

Sneaky trolls will sometimes pose as people who are genuinely interested in the topic before posting a message that undermines the discussion. This is common in political forums — a person with opposing views might pretend to be sympathetic to other members in the community while simultaneously posting messages and threads that criticize their point of view. For example, the troll might say, “I really like Politician X, but do you think she’s really strong on domestic policy?” The goal of this troll is to foment doubt within the community at large
