Trying hard to remember if I ever belonged to a country-club.

I was USW in the late lamented steel industry and I bused tables at a country club. That's where I was learned my manners.

Knew guys who paid their way through college doing the mills in the summer up in Gary. Doggone good jobs too.

Thought about how good they had it when I was standing there in waders with 2 feet of coolant around me and I'm shoveling out 25 pound loads of steel shavings.

Oh, those lucky guys in the mills ~ in summer!
