The peace symbol has been around for a long time and is a completely inoffensive symbol these days. It means nothing more than “peace” and that is something we are all in favor of.

Calling something "a fact" doesn't make it so. There are millions of perfectly good kids walking around America wearing peace symbols. I assure you they are not choosing to wear "anti-American" symbols. They like "peace", they like to be "retro" and they think it's a cool looking symbol. That's all there is to it.
