Sorry, but that is a ridiculous analogy. Palin was not a celebrity when she hit the national scene. She is self made, didn’t have big friends or relatives in high places, didn’t write a book or have a TV show.
She started to draw crowds because of her compelling story, her ideas on cutting the size of government, and yes, her looks and personality.
