Who would ever have thought we would come to the day when anyone thought it was preferable to sacrifice human embryos to spare rats?

We are working our way backwards. As everyone recalls Father Abraham was guided to an animal to use as a substitute sacrifice for his son. Now, we sacrifice human beings to avoid harm to the animals.
I suspect eventually we will need to take care of the whole pack of barbarians and savages who have seized our legal systems and governments and dispose of them en masse and all at once, as an act of self-defense.

Who would ever have thought we would come to the day when anyone thought it was preferable to sacrifice human embryos to spare rats? The signs were all there but we were moving too fast to see them. I recall 25 years ago when they stopped testing mascara on rabbits.
JPII and B16 both saw this coming; hence the quote from the new encyclical.
