As nature and science continue to take the steam out of the global-warming balloon, the recent G8 summit produced a tentative promise that leading industrialized nations won't let the planet's temperature rise higher than 3.6 F

Then they should promise to stop talking.

Well, since it's already 85F in Atlanta, I guess 88 or 89 degrees would warrant a Special Message from the weather bureau.

That special message is: Be glad it's not the usual 95 to 100 degrees it usually is this time of year. Go jump in a pool. Get in the lake.

Have a cold beer. Thank God it's not too hot this year.

Since the earth is cooling rather than warming, I reckon we can do nothing and Obama will take credit for averting global crisis and Algore will get another crummy award.
