This at this point, IMHO would probably win with a larger percentage than Prop 8 did. I am not in California but with the debt they are facing I can’t imagine anyone except the far left would think spending money they didn’t have on non citizen’s would be a good idea.

I can think of loads of Republicans who are willing to spend California into bankruptcy before they would risk “alienatating the hispanic vote’ by deporting illegals or cutting them off from government benefits.

It wasn’t just the hard left and the Aztlan racists fighting against Prop 187, it was also elites in the Republican party. One used to call the Minutemen “vigilantes” and spouted insulting nonsense like “jobs Americans won’t do”.
