The purpose of the campaign is to flush out Taliban operatives from southern Afghanistan in order to safeguard the re-election of Afghan President Hamid Karzai on August 20.
The operation is carried out by Marines covering their eyes and shouting, "Allie, allie in free!" over and over.
This is getting pretty sad. It just came out that POW’s will now be mirandized in the field. I suspect we’ll be taking far fewer prisoners of war from now on. Nice going zero. Quit weakening America!
